LocationPerry-Mansfield is located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, 150 miles northwest of Denver. Steamboat Springs, a small Rocky Mountain community of 10,000, is rich with Western charm and natural beauty, making it a popular vacation destination. Nestled in the hills of beautiful Strawberry Park, Perry-Mansfield’s rustic 75-acre campus provides students with a safe, nurturing environment in which to learn. Students spend their days in open-air studios, which are naturally landscaped with grassy meadows, aspen groves, and alpine ponds.
Background and PhilosophyIn 1913, Charlotte Perry and Portia Mansfield fulfilled their dreams of creating a theater and dance camp in the mountains. Now, more than ninety years later, Perry-Mansfield is recognized as the oldest continuously operating performing arts school and camp in the nation.
